Double chess

A minimalist yet fiercely deep two-player turn-based strategy game.

On a 7x7 grid, you and your opponent each command 7 pieces. You cannot capture directly—instead, you must form attack lines by placing two of your pieces adjacent. The ends of that line become deadly points, instantly eliminating any enemy standing there. But beware: if an opponent deliberately steps into your attack point, the "Counter Strike" rule triggers—whoever forms a line first gets the kill, turning the hunter into the hunted.

Unique units, distinct powers:

• Soldier: The solid backbone. Can dash two squares on its first move to seize the initiative.
• General: Moves in all 8 directions, the agile heart of your formation.
• Chariot: Pierces through the board in straight lines, tearing apart enemy defenses from afar.
